Obnoxious science journalism getting on your nerves?

This fantastic post by Oliver Knevitt over at Science 2.0 takes on the issue with respect to evolution.  If it weren't for the fact that Darwin himself used it, I'd go one step further and replace "natural selection" with "environmental filtration."

I should come up with something similar for physics reporting.  Off the top of my head, one thing that really bothers me is when popularizations and journalism tout how "mind-bending" a new proposal is, rather than how likely it is to be true and what problem it is intended to resolve.
